Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced Integrated Data Specialist, to join the CCBA Growth Office team. The successful applicant will be reporting into the Group Lead: Big Data & Analytics.

The role will contribute to CCBA vision by supporting centrally the evaluation, procurement, and management of CCBA data suppliers and being the link between markets as well as internal and external suppliers in the new information requirements or adjustments needed to ensure optimal value contributions to the business. The role will be responsible to assess, negotiate and evaluate performance of suppliers to ensure they all work in the best interest of CCBA. Directing these suppliers on best practice data sharing back into our business and facilitating the link between them and Business Intelligence (BI).

The applicant may reside in any of the CCBA footprint of countries South Africa, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ghana, Mozambique, Botswana, Namibia & Zambia.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Lead the integration of various sources of business information to derive meaningful insights that enable robust decision making in all CCBA markets.

Managing centrally the connection with KO and CCBA suppliers of data, research and insights (e.g., BI, Nielsen, GFK, iRED, MacMobile, Frontline and other relevant agencies) ensuring service levels agreements are met, auditing the integrity of information, problem solving and translating business market requirements.

Understanding market context plans and trends to proactively identify new requirements of information or analysis for Group or countries.

Be main point of contact of all suppliers ensuring compliance of the contract, service level agreements and company policies.

Assessing and evaluating multiple sourcing of suppliers to determine if their services / deliverables meet CCBA needs and make a recommendation.

Negotiating contracts, service levels agreements, and conduct meetings to inform responsibilities, raise concerns, inquire about their services or negotiate pricing.

Defining standards by which to assess the performance of approved suppliers and evaluate them to identify opportunities for improvement.

Managing portfolio of data suppliers to ensure optimized value add services and mitigate duplication in same data service offerings.

Scope with IT the data / modelling environment (business Information warehouse) ensuring it is effective for analysis and drive delivery into the business.

Interacting with Business users and understand their requirements from a data analytics, reporting and User Interface / Experience perspective.

Assist in developing reports using modern platforms and techniques to share information for decision-making in a timely manner and user-friendly interface.

Correlating relevant and quality data sources required to fully answer questions, address problems, and recommend strategy, deriving analytical insights from variety of business contexts, and enabling the communication thereof through a range of creative and intuitive solutions.

Ensuring all business users have the capability to read and use the information provided.

Gathering feedback from users, identify opportunities for improvement and apply them.

Skillfully elicit ideas generation and creative solutions for creating informative BI solutions and mechanisms to communicate outcomes and results at all levels of the company.

Ensuring that data requirements are met and drive the continuous improvement and automation of reporting requirements around management routines.

Develop and sustain a data smart culture to drive insights-driven decision-making.

Skills, Experience & Education

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree: Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics, Mathematics, Engineering or similar.

Post Graduate / Honours / Masters Qualification in Informatics, Data Science or Management (added advantage).


Certifications:

Data and analytics-related Certifications or Experience: e.g. SAS, SQL, SISS, Spark SQL, Power Bi, Azure, Microsoft D365, Tabular models (AAS), any Big Data certifications, SCRUM / Prince2, DAMA, TOGAF.


Experience:

10 + years of professional experience in sales, data analysis, statistics, data science or investigation teams. At least 5 years in data and analytical areas.

Proven experience in negotiation, sourcing and performance processes.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to other functional areas.

Expertise working with several countries and cultures in the African Market.

Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze and solve problems quickly.

Strong understanding of surveying techniques and tools and progressive data accumulation practices in the FMCG industry.

Demonstrated ability to lead and be creative/flexible in managing simultaneous projects, requirements and reporting schedules.

Strong programming skills – Microsoft SQL, R, Python, DAX etc. and experience in implementing end to end BI technologies.

Demonstrated track record of continued advancement of learning in new technologies and evolving skills sets.

Data modelling and strong data analysis and critical problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to other functional areas in simple language with a customer-oriented approach for understanding.

Proven track record of simplifying large information inputs from multiple sources and consumable outputs that provide valuable insights.
